A Decoporium palace of homes ideas

Decoporium is a wonderful store for anyone in search of vintage, retro, revival or upcycled homewares, furniture, gifts, and more. It’s full of design inspiration, plus you can buy really cool and handy interiors accessories such as unusual door knobs and chalk paints.

Love this shop-within-a-shop with its decorative and illuminated letters.

It’s quite large, with more than 70 individual traders and crafters – and a new crafting department has recently opened. And if you want letters and lights, or letters and lights combined, this is the place for you.

There are lots of lovely vintage pieces - I've been looking for a typewriter like this (getting a bit sick of Windows).

It’s at Thorpe Arch Retail Park, which is near Boston Spa and Wetherby. Thorpe Arch in itself is a fascinating place. It was a Royal Ordnance Factory, completed in 1942, making a variety of types of munitions, and lots of units are semi underground and covered in grass, so you walk in through a small entrance into what suddenly becomes a huge space.

Huge illuminated letters - now I'm thinking what I needs spelling out in my kitchen.

It’s next door to The Bistro Café, a fantastic and very busy café that serves delicious soups, cakes, puddings and bakes, sandwiches plus lots of main meals (fish and chips), all made on the premises. It’s been there for 30 years and seems to be legendary, judging by the vibe and the number of people there on a Friday lunchtime.

There's lots of lovely gift ideas too at Decoporium.

Plenty of lovely new interiors products and gift ideas too at Decoporium.

There’s also a St Michael’s Hospice furniture shop at Thorp Arch and plenty more to see, to well worth checking out. Plus there’s a playground.

Many of the stands are decorated and dressed in stunning style - lots of inspiration.

I just love this - I'm guessing you could frame it, but it's so unusual.

I simply adore the vintage typewriter too. But it is easy to forget how much those keys bruise the fingers! It would look exquisite on a nice desk though.
