Meanwhile, The Ivy St Helen’s Square, York, has added a Royal-inspired dessert to its menu for four days only, from Friday, May 18 to Monday, May 21. The Royal Crown Dessert (£9.95) is a twist on the famous Chocolate Bombe, a theatrical dessert with a chocolate dome filled with ice cream, meringue and shortbread. Topped with a gold crown and drizzled in hot strawberry sauce, the bombe melts away to reveal a taste explosion. https://theivyyork.com/
The lovely Bettys has created special limited Crown fondant fancies which cost £1.85 each. And finally, if you want a commemorative cute item, Sophie Allport, who is nearly in Yorkshire, has created a lovely mug.
