Many of Claire Murray’s designs have been inspired by woodland walks but you won’t find the likely candidates on her products. She finds funghi fascinating and who would have thought that they would transfer so beautifully onto fabric and wallpaper?
Claire, who is based near Sowerby Bridge, began by printing her designs on wallpaper and she has since expanded into lampshades and silk cushions. The 30cm drum shades and cushions are £90 and are available in her Flight, Heron, In the Wild, Coriolacae and Champignon fabrics.
While the neutral tone Coriolacae was a deserved hit, Claire has embraced colour with her new design, Flight, pictured above and below. The wallpaper is £130 for a 10 metre roll, which makes it perfect for a feature wall or just one panel. You can also take a tip from a couple of interior designers we know and frame the paper or paste it onto mdf panels. Its very effective, especially if you create a triptych.
