If you’re wondering what to buy a loved one to celebrate the most romantic day of the year, here are some Valentine’s Day present ideas with impeccable credentials…they are all made in Yorkshire.
They all represent a win-win. They are beautiful, useful and some are downright delicious. Plus buying from a Yorkshire maker or business means you are supporting the local economy. Do remember that if you have no significant other or he/she doesn’t observe Valentine’s Day/ can’t be bothered, then treat yourself. When you do don’t forget to tell yourself that you blinkin’ well deserve it.
From one of my favourite makers amd wordsmiths, this etched ink bottle is £33.95, www.vinegarandbrownpaper.co.uk

This cushion is £25 and is made in Yorkshire by The Little Button Company
A card that any music lover will appreciate, £2.35, from www.vinegarandbrownpaper.co.uk
Say it with flowers that last. These carved wood daffodils and bluebells are £6 each from the Masham Gallery in Masham and online at www.mashamgallery.co.uk
Finally, and because too much is not enough of Betty’s, here’s what I hope to get on Valentine’s Day. My favourite fondant fancies. Just £7.40- for a box of four. I am a cheap date but I have excellent taste.
