What a delight it was to hear that one of my favourite Yorkshire-based designers, Hannah Nunn, and the wonderful Bronte Parsonage Museum shop had collaborated on a project.
Hannah was commissioned to create a design to celebrate the bicentenary of Charlotte Bronte’s birthday, which was on April 21 2016. It’s beautiful and now features on everything from tea towels and notebooks to tote bags and coasters.
Named “Charlotte’s Garden” it is inspired by plants and flowers in bloom in the parsonage garden around the time of Charlotte Bronte’s birthday.
You can shop for the products online or better still pay a visit to the Bronte Parsonage in Haworth. It is an incredibly atmospheric place, the displays are excellent and the staff are informative and very friendly.
There is a charge for entry to the Parsonage Museum and it is worth every penny. You can visit the shop for free or buy online at https://www.bronte.org.uk/bronte-shop
Here are some pictures of other items featuring Charlotte’s Garden. They were taken by the brilliant Sarah Mason Photography, based in Hebden Bridge.
