So it’s Tuesday and already I am longing for the weekend, especially as there’s something to look forward to.
Caroline and Julian Brown, who organise the popular Rose and Brown vintage fairs, have added a new event to their line up.
The Collectors and Record Fair is on Saturday, March 7, at the Caroline Social Club in Saltaire. It is aimed at music lovers, film fans, vintage design buffs and nostalgia geeks, which pretty much defines me. Entry is 50p and there’s a public bar along with 20 stalls.
Caroline says: “We’re looking forward to bringing some cool stalls to this very retro venue in the heart of Saltaire. It will appeal to anyone who enjoys browsing vintage vinyl, record players and radios, quirky collectables, books, old toys and gadgets, and stylish pieces of mid-century design from small furniture to ceramics.
“We have a number of specialist record sellers, plus a stall which specialises in vintage advertisements and another which deals in stamps. This means it’s a good little event for collectors, and because we’ve also got stalls selling CDs, DVDs and TV and film-related memorabilia, it’s also a fun event if you’re into entertainment and music.”
The Collectors and Record Fair is at Caroline Social Club, Caroline St, Saltaire, BD18 3JZ, on Saturday, March 7, from 10am to 3.30pm, www.roseandbrownvintage.co.uk
