We love folk singer Kate Rusby and so thought we’d post a last-minute reminder about her wonderful music and arts festival. It’s on this weekend at Cannon Hall Farm, in Cawthorne, between Huddersfield and Barnsley, July 21st to 23rd.
It’s very much a family orientated event and is set in gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. See here for details http://underthestarsfest.co.uk/
Alongside the world-class folk and roots music, including Kate Rusby – who is performing Friday and Sunday – Newton Faulkner, Show of Hands, Sheelanagig and Lucy Rose, there’s family-focused theatre and entertainment, workshops, food, drink and craft traders.
There are some higher tier weekend tickets left for £135 and you can also get a day ticket from £50. If you don’t fancy sleeping in a tent – one half Gorgeous Yorkshire does not do camping while the other half likes to think she does but always moans when confined under canvas with “nowhere to put stuff” – then there are quite a few reasonably priced hotels nearby.
