If it’s beer tankards you want, we got them. Steins and German wine glasses, retro jug and glass sets? We can help you at our Gorgeous Yorkshire shop-within-a-shop at the fabulous 53 Bo’ Grove in Harrogate which reopens its antiques and vintage centre on Monday.
Although the cafe and garden centre and The Refilling Station have all been open for much of the lockdown, Monday sees the reopening of this brilliant two-storey shop, where you can find unusual decorative treasures, all sorts of objets and furniture for the home, mid-century and antique curios and outdoors some great architectural salvage pieces.
And we reopen our stall inside Bo’ Grove too, in time for Father’s Day on June 21. We don’t actually staff the stall ourselves, you unterstand. You buy from a lovely staff member at the reception desk. Anyway, we have been seeking out some drink related pieces we think would make thoughtful and fabulous gifts for dads.
How about these green German Romer glasses? These have a green coiled stem (from the potash and sand, called “forest glass”) and a bowl with gold rim and sometimes gold flowers or grapes. They are named after the Romans, who brought wine grapes to Germany in the 4th century.
We also have a lovely collection of glass beer tankards and steins, including those dimpled ones that were banned from pub use.
And some great sets of jugs and glasses which are perfect for Pimms and other summer drinkies. We’re not advocating over consumption of alcohol, by the way. We have tea sets too!
Anyway, do come on over to see our stall and all the other gorgeous delights at 53 Bo’ Grove.
